AMAX Unveils New Line of Embedded Systems at Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley (ESC SV) 2008 in San Jose

Fremont, CA – April 14, 2008.  AMAX, the Number One server and storage leader in the system builder channel in North America, and one of the 500 largest solution providers in North America, will unveil a new series of embedded systems and appliances at the upcoming Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley (ESC SV) 2008 exhibit (http://www.embedded.com/esc/sv/).

As the world’s premier exhibition for single board computers, panel PCs, embedded systems, and appliance servers, ESC SV 2008 will be held from April 15 - 17, 2008 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose.

• Short-depth 1U and 2U rack-optimized appliances, with support for one or two dual-core or quad-core Opteron 1000/2000 series, Xeon 3200/5000 series processors, or embedded / low power processors;
• Rack-optimized Single Board Computers, with up to 5-year life span and support for one or two segmented CPU slots per backplane. They are ideal for semiconductor process control equipment or embedded within other semiconductor devices to provide control and interfacing.
• A new series of rack-optimized Multi-Core Xeon/Opteron storage appliances, with one multi-function LCD display module for system monitoring, and indented text and logo areas on top cover, for dust prevention, and up to 5-year life span. These solutions are perfect for clean room and fabrication plant (fabs) environment and embedded storage applications, massive data warehousing, enterprise storage, or disk-to-disk backup applications;
• A new yield optimization tool that provides high availability, fault tolerance and high scalability for clustering applications such as Yield Optimization, Metrology, and Database (RAC), with cabinet options ranging in height from 11U to 42U and depths from 600mm to 1000mm.
