VMware Certifies AMAX Tower Virtualization Server
Providing Improved IT Efficiency & Lower TCO to IT Infrastructures

Fremont, CA –May 14, 2008.  AMAX, the # 1 server and storage leader in the system builder channel in North America, and one of the 500 largest solution providers in North America, debuted its ultra quiet VMWare Certified Virtualization Server, the PowerMax H0303 Virtualization Server. This system has just been added to VMware's Systems Compatibility Guide For ESX Server 3.5 and ESX Server 3i.

AMAX’s PowerMax H0303 Virtualization Server is an ultra quiet, industry standard, high performance, high efficiency, high I/O server. It has undergone several months of stringent testing conducted by a VMware approved testing facility to ensure that it fully utilizes VMware’s complete suite of server virtualization capabilities, and that it is configured for maximized virtualization performance, higher server utilization, high scalability, increased security, minimized system downtime, maximum storage, full redundancy, high failover capabilities, continuous data protection, rapid data recovery, and low overall total cost of ownership.

“Our customers and partners want to reduce their operating expenses, consolidate their IT infrastructure and become more energy-efficient,” said Jean Shih, President of AMAX. “The PowerMax H0303 Virtualization Server meets all these requirements, and delivers exceptional value and functionality to all our customers. It also provides a wealth of other benefits such as optimized memory and storage capacity utilization, improved manageability, data center reliability and capacity, improved disaster recover and an enhanced overall virtual infrastructure.

Moreover, the PowerMax H0303 Virtualization Server features innovative new whisper-quiet complete system designs, with acoustically optimized thermal technology and ultra quiet and high energy efficient power supply to deliver significant energy cost savings and a noise level quieter than that of a whisper-quiet library environment. When combined with VMware Infrastructure 3 or other VMware virtualization products, AMAX’s Virtualization Server helps enterprises reduce IT space requirements, which simplifies maintenance and management and makes it a very attractive option for a wide range of enterprises.
