AMAX Unveils New Series of HPC Clusters, Servers, and Personal Supercomputers at Super Computing 2008 Exhibit

Fremont , CA – November 18, 2008 – AMAX (www.amax.com), the #1 leader of custom servers and storage solutions in North America, will introduce a new series of powerful, energy-efficient high performance computing clusters, servers, and personal supercomputer (PSC) solutions at the upcoming Super Computing 2008 (SC08) exhibit. SC08 is the world’s premier exhibition for high performance computing, networking, and storage solutions. It will be held from November 17 - 20, 2008 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX.

Some of the new and exciting products AMAX will introduce at SC08 include:

• Personal supercomputer workstation (PSC), with support for up to three TeraFlops in a single workstation. AMAX’s PSC is a cluster in a box. AMAX’s High Performance Computing Cluster features load balancing, high availability, failover, and virtualization capabilities, while running Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Server 2008, VMware virtualization software, OSCAR Clustering Software, Beowulf, and Rocks configurations. These clusters are being deployed by data centers anywhere in the world.
• Twin Node Xeon and Opteron servers, utilizing the latest low power Intel Xeon and AMD 45nm Quad Core (Shanghai) Opteron processors and features two nodes in a 1U chassis with support for up to four Quad Core Xeon or Opteron processors.
