Perpetuators of a fraud scheme have advertised job openings on the internet. When a potential candidate for the position responds, s/he is mailed a bogus check purportedly from AMAX. AMAX is in no way involved in this fraud. Anyone who receives a bogus AMAX check should notify their local law enforcement authorities for prosecution of those responsible. Do not send money, give out personal or bank information, or deposit the check, as it will be returned unpaid. We regret that AMAX's name was used in this fraud.
