AMAX Welcomes The Minister Of State For Employment And Small Business To Its EMEA Headquarters In Shannon, Ireland

SHANNON, IRELAND - August 4th, 2016- AMAX, a leading manufacturer of dynamic Data Center & Cloud, Deep Learning, High Performance Computing (HPC), and custom Server Appliance solutions, welcomed a visit from Pat Breen T.D, Minister of State for Employment and Small Business, to its EMEA headquarters in Shannon, Ireland on July 27th.

The Minister visited AMAX's Shannon manufacturing and engineering facilities. The location was opened in January of 2015 as a key manufacturing and logistics hub to better serve the technology company's European and global enterprise customers.

For a company whose corporate headquarters is located in Silicon Valley in the United States, AMAX spent over a year considering the best location to set up its EMEA headquarters. After a long and exhaustive search, Shannon, Ireland was chosen for its progressive policies that greatly supported global business development, and the availability of a highly-skilled, technology-savvy workforce. Furthermore, Shannon's exceptional location enables AMAX to provide efficient logistics and rapid responses to its customers all across Europe.

"We saw a strong demand from European enterprises for the same cutting edge data center and cloud solutions that we are developing in Silicon Valley," said Matthew Thauberger, VP of Worldwide Sales, AMAX. "Today, I can proudly say we made the right choice in headquartering our EMEA operations in Shannon, as the growth of this location has far exceeded our initial projections. We look forward to continued growth."

During the initial grand opening, AMAX stated that it hoped to bring at least 100 job opportunities to Shannon. A year later, AMAX Ireland has nearly 50 employees and is optimistic it will reach its goal in the near future. The key to reaching this goal is just as much in developing leading technologies, as the dedication and hard work of its employees, whose passion and commitment have pushed the company to new heights.

"I was very impressed with AMAX's operation in Shannon," said by Pat Breen TD, the Minister for Employment and Small Business, after his visit to AMAX. "It represents the type of company which has helped drive Ireland's position as a significant location for cutting edge companies. AMAX's work in developing and manufacturing products for the fast growing Data Centre and Cloud Computing sectors helps place Ireland in a really strong position. It is great for the Mid-West Region to have such an innovative company showing strong employment growth since its establishment. My priority is to ensure an environment for job growth is developed right across the country and in particular the regions of Ireland."

AMAX is dedicated to a motivational working environment, and creating more opportunities for the local community and those who want to be a part of a strong team committed to bringing the most innovative data center and computing solutions to Ireland and all of Europe.
